2013 Offensive Hacking Challenge

This past Friday, the IEEE Communications Society at UT held its second Offensive Hacking Challenge. The turnout for our event doubled that of our first, with about 34 contestats participating in the competition.

Our event was graced by two teams from our own Information Security Office. Although they were participating in the event, they decided to stand outside the competition and would not claim prizes. Feedback suggests that both ISO teams enjoyed the competition, and were completely stumped at the last level.

In the end, team "Lawl, We Have No Idea What We're Doing" came in first. The team was comprised of Christopher Haster, Mark Judice, Kevin Gilbert and Gilberto Rodriguez. They won 3 new Das Keyboards (a value of $130 each).

We'd like to thank our partners: TrustwavePraetorian, and Das Keyboard for making such an amazing event possible. The competition would have been nowhere near as awesome without their support.

Also, photos to come soon!
